This summer, our school got offered the chance to complete a grade 11 course in a fast paced 3 week, 4 hours a day time span. I, of course, chose the glorious PreCalc 11.
I thought it would be easy since everything is condensed and that I wouldn't forget anything... but oh man, was I wrong.
We were given chapter tests every 2 days which meant we were taught the material and then tested on the same day.
When I received my chapter 1 test back I received a 61%. It was at this point where I thought about quitting and having the mindset that math is "pointless" and I'm "never going to use it in the real world".
I decided to stick through with it because I would feel like a loser if i dropped out.
It was at this time I where I discovered you, WadgeMath.
You guys use the same the textbook we do, and your methods of teaching are very similar to our very own teachers.
This is when things started to get better for me. I learned from your videos the day before our teacher taught us so I could be prepared and ready for tests.
All of your PreCalc 11 videos have helped me sooo much!! I felt like I part of your class. I even found myself calling it "bobby bridge" instead of "decomposition" which always made me seem like an idiot :P By the way, you are hilarious!! Maybe it was because of the lack of sleep combined with stress, but I found myself laughing at your videos and all the small jokes you made.
My mark went up from the 61% to an average of 85% :D I couldn't have done it without you! I just want to say thank you for making those videos and being like a tutor for me these 3 weeks.
You are awesome, and I look forward to learning PreCalc 12 from you too!
Thank you so much, you've changed math for me :)
